Lyon County Riverboat Foundation funds interactive therapy system at LifeScape

Our thanks to the Lyon County Riverboat Foundation for their $3,000 grant to purchase a Mobii Magic Surface system for children’s therapy. The Mobii is a mobile, height-adjustable system that provides interactive sensory activities on tables and floors. It comes pre-loaded with 300 sensory activities and games. Its audio-visual effects are designed to stimulate, engage, and relax. We look forward to using the Mobii to help facilitate communication and language development in speech therapy. It has occupational therapy applications to build fine motors skills, problem solving, and memory. Physical therapists will use it for stretching and building strength and coordination.  Its programs for cognitive, emotional, and physical development will be especially effective across the autistic spectrum for social interaction, communication, motor skills, and sensory processing. Many thanks for the grant to provide this special tool—the Mobii Magic Surface system–for children’s therapies!
